Privacy Policy
PLACEHOLDER: review before launch. This is draft legal copy grounded only in PushPull's known mechanics (Slack scopes, thread-only channel reading, Stripe-issued invoices in-thread). It has not been reviewed by counsel and must not be treated as a final policy.
Effective date: TBD
What PushPull is
PushPull is a Slack app. You DM it or @mention it with something you need; it acknowledges you in-thread, and later sends a scoped proposal (budget, scope, timeline, terms) that you can accept, decline, or discuss. This policy describes what we collect through that flow and why.
Information we collect
- Slack workspace and profile data: your Slack user ID, display name, and workspace ID, as provided by Slack when your workspace installs the app or you message it.
- Message content you send to the app: the text of DMs and @mentions directed at PushPull, and replies you post inside a request thread the app is already part of. PushPull does not read general channel traffic. It only reads messages inside threads tied to a request you started.
- Request and proposal data: the details of what you asked for, and the proposals (budget, scope, timeline, terms) generated in response.
- Payment status: whether a proposal was accepted, declined, or is still under discussion. Payment itself is processed by Stripe; PushPull does not store your payment card details.
How we use it
To operate the core flow: routing your request, sending acknowledgments, generating and delivering proposals, and tracking their status. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Slack permissions
PushPull requests the minimum Slack permissions needed for the flow above. In channels, it only reads messages inside threads that already belong to one of your requests, never general channel history.
Data retention
We retain request and proposal records for as long as needed to operate the service and meet basic accounting/support needs. [PLACEHOLDER: specific retention period TBD.]
Third parties
Payments are processed by Stripe, and Stripe's own Slack app posts the resulting invoice into your workspace. Your card details are handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm the Stripe integration model and link Stripe's privacy policy before launch.]
Contact
[PLACEHOLDER: support contact email/address TBD.]
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PushPull evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
